In a little bowl, mix the sugar in lukewarm water. Put the yeast on top of the water and wait for around 10 minutes until it gets bubbly.
In a big bowl, mix the flour and salt together. Create a hole in the middle and add the yeast mixture and olive oil.
Combine the ingredients until you have a dough. Work the dough on a surface with flour for around 10 minutes until it becomes smooth and stretchy.
Put the dough in a bowl with a little oil, cover it with a wet cloth, and leave it in a warm spot for around 1 to 1.5 hours, or until it doubles in size.

Form the Pide:

Heat your oven to 450°F (230°C) before using it. If you have a pizza stone, put it in the oven to warm it up.
Press the dough that has risen and split it into two equal parts. Form each piece into a round shape.
On a surface with flour, flatten each ball into a round or oval shape, about ½ inch thick.
Make the topping:
In a little bowl, mix the egg yolk, yogurt, and olive oil using a whisk.

Make the Pide.

Place the formed dough on a piece of parchment paper or a baking sheet covered with parchment paper.
Apply the egg mixture on the top of each dough. Use your fingers or a spoon to make a pattern of intersecting lines on the dough's surface.
Put sesame seeds and nigella seeds on top.
Put the parchment paper with the dough on the hot pizza stone or place the baking sheet in the oven.
Bake for around 15-20 minutes, or until the pide is a golden brown color and fully cooked.
Serve: Let the pide cool down a bit before cutting and serving. Enjoy it hot with sauces, cheeses, or as a side dish with your preferred meal.
Suggestions: To give your dough more taste, you can include garlic powder or dried herbs.
If you don't have a pizza stone, you can use a baking sheet turned upside down and heated in the oven.
Enjoy your tasty homemade Turkish flatbread!
