Ingredients You’ll Need

Makes 1 loaf

For the Dough:

  • 1 can (13.8 oz) refrigerated biscuit dough (or homemade biscuit dough if preferred)
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (sharp or mild, depending on your preference)
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese (optional, for extra flavor)
  • 1 tsp garlic powder (optional)
  • 1 tsp dried parsley (optional, for color and freshness)

For the Topping:

  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter , melted
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder (optional)
  • 1 tbsp chopped fresh parsley (optional, for garnish)

Step-by-Step Instructions

Step 1: Preheat the Oven

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) . Grease a loaf pan (8x4 inches) or line it with parchment paper for easy removal.

Step 2: Prepare the Dough

  1. Separate the biscuit dough into individual rounds. Flatten each round slightly with your hand or a rolling pin.
  2. Sprinkle a small handful of shredded cheddar cheese onto each flattened biscuit round. Fold the dough over the cheese to enclose it, pinching the edges to seal. Roll it gently into a ball.

Step 3: Assemble the Bread

  1. Place the stuffed dough balls into the prepared loaf pan, arranging them snugly in rows. Repeat until the pan is filled.
  2. Sprinkle any remaining shredded cheese (and Parmesan, if using) evenly over the top of the dough balls.

Step 4: Bake

  1. Bake for 20–25 minutes , or until the bread is golden brown and the cheese is bubbly and melted.

Step 5: Add the Butter Topping

  1. In a small bowl, mix the melted butter with garlic powder (if using). Brush the butter mixture generously over the baked bread.
  2. Sprinkle with chopped parsley for a pop of color and freshness.

Step 6: Serve

  1. Let the bread cool for 5 minutes before slicing. Serve warm and enjoy!
