When I served this meal at my son's modest celebration, his pals went crazy over it.

Ingredients: 4 big potatoes, thinly sliced Cheddar cheese Grated, one cup
Fresh Parsley, chopped (optional) To finish off the look
Instructions:
Get Everything Ready: Grease a 9×13 inch baking dish and set the oven to 375°F, which is 190°C.

To make the meatloaf, mix the following ingredients in a big bowl: ground beef, garlic, onion, breadcrumbs, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, thyme, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Combine all ingredients by mixing well.

To make the casserole layers, butter a baking dish and lay down half of the sliced potatoes in the bottom. Form a loaf with the meat mixture and set it on the potatoes. Cover the meatloaf entirely with the rest of the cut potatoes.

Put the casserole in the oven and bake for 45 minutes to melt the cheese. Take the foil off and bake for another 10-15 minutes, or until the potatoes are soft and the cheese is melted and bubbling. Top with shredded cheddar cheese.

Cut, Plate, and Savor: Before cutting and serving, allow the casserole to cool somewhat. Toss in some chopped fresh parsley for garnish, if you want.
