These Chewy Nutty Squirrel Bars are a delicious tribute to the squirrel, one of the most beloved creatures on Earth. Almonds and sweetened milk come together in these bars, making them a quick and easy snack or breakfast option. Plus, they are easy to make and may be stored in the fridge for up to a week.
My first exposure to these establishments was during a stay with my grandparents in the countryside. The sight of the squirrel family who made their home in their garden sent shivers down my spine. When I asked my granny for a way to personalize the bars, she suggested these. I was ecstatic to finally get the chance to return the squirrels for what seemed like a very generous gift.
