1/4 teaspoon of garlic powder
* Diced and cooked bacon, six pieces
Chicken broth, potatoes, carrots, and onion powder should all be mixed together in a big saucepan.
Cook, covered, for 10 minutes until almost done.
Simmer the broccoli for 10 more minutes with the lid on.
In a large saucepan over low heat, melt the butter.
Cook, whisking constantly, for one further minute, or until a golden brown color develops.
To thicken the sauce, whisk in the milk and continue cooking for another 5 minutes.
Melt the cheese by adding it and stirring constantly. Garlic pepper and salt may be added.
Add the cheese sauce to the big saucepan and mix well.
If the soup is too thick for your liking, thin it up with extra milk. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
Crumble some bacon over top and serve while still warm!
Have fun!
