Ingredients
2 cups pecans, finely chopped (toast them for extra flavor if desired)
1 1/2 cups self-rising flour (if you don’t have self-rising flour, see substitution below)
1 cup granulated sugar
1 cup brown sugar (light or dark, depending on your preference)
1/2 cup vegetable oil (or melted butter for a richer flavor)
1/2 cup buttermilk (or make your own by adding 1/2 tablespoon vinegar or lemon juice to 1/2 cup milk)
4 large eggs, beaten
