Recipe for Buttermilk Biscuits with Butter
Turn the oven on high heat (450°F, 230°C). Combine the flour, baking soda, and salt in a big basin and stir to combine. Incorporate the butter using a pastry cutter or your fingertips until the mixture takes on the texture of gritty sand. Pour the buttermilk into a well you made in the middle of the mixture. When the dough comes together, stir it briefly.
Carefully transfer the dough to a surface that has been lightly dusted with flour and give it a few gentle kneads. Roll out the dough into a rectangle that is one inch thick. Lay out a baking sheet and cut out as many biscuits as you can using a 2-inch biscuit cutter. When you have used up all of the dough, gather the leftovers and pat them out again. Cut out more biscuits.
After 12–15 minutes in the oven, the biscuits should be golden brown. Warm it up before serving. Have fun!
