Texas Turtle Sheet Cake Recipe
1. Get the oven hot, about 350 degrees. You may use parchment paper or grease and flour the pan.  Mix the sugar and self-rising flour in a big basin. Remove off the table.

2. Melt 1/3 cup of cocoa with 1 cup of coffee and 1 cup of butter in a pot. Stir continuously as you bring to a boil. Add to the dry ingredients that have been prepared. Combine the dry and wet components by mixing them together on medium speed using a handheld mixer. Combine the eggs with the half cup of buttermilk. Continue mixing for about another minute at medium speed, or until everything is mixed.

3. Transfer to a baking dish and cook for twenty-five to thirty minutes. After baking, check to see whether a toothpick or fork put in the center comes out clean.

4. Make the icing. A quarter cup of butter, four tablespoons of buttermilk, and three teaspoons of unsweetened cocoa powder should be mixed in a medium pot. Stir continuously while you bring to a boil in a medium saucepan.

5. Take it off the heat and slowly stir in the powdered sugar, half a cup at a time, using a wire whisk.

6. On top of the cake, spread or pour the heated frosting. Chopped pecans and chocolate chips may be sprinkled on top of the warm cake. Pour caramel sauce over the top.
