The Batter's Ingredients:

melted butter, measuring 1 cup
two cups of sugar
two eggs
Add 2 tablespoons of vinegar or lemon juice to 2 cups of milk to make 2 cups of buttermilk, or make your own buttermilk as directed.
flour, measuring four cups
two tablespoons of baking soda
Regarding the Cinnamon-Sugar Blend:

3/4 cup of sugar
2 dustings of cinnamon
Cream together the eggs, 2 cups of sugar, and butter to make Amish cinnamon bread. Blend in the flour, baking soda, and milk. Spread 1/4 cup of batter into each of two oiled loaf pans. Divide the batter in half, or use a bit less. Combine the cinnamon and 2/3 cup of sugar in a separate bowl.
Evenly distribute 3/4 of the cinnamon mixture over the 1/2 batter in each pan. Pour in the rest of the batter and top with the leftover cinnamon mixture. Use a knife to whirl. Once a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean, bake for 45 to 50 minutes at 350 degrees. Allow the pan-cooked food to cool for 20 minutes before taking it out. Yields two loaves
